It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Lily Pathwick. Lily has been working at my child care center since December of 2020. Lily came to me as a high school senior with very little experience and has grown into a very valuable member of our staff.

Heidi’s House is an NAEYC accredited center and typically hires college graduates with Early Childhood degrees. This past year it has been difficult to do that. Lily came to us highly recommended by another staff member and I was leary of whether or not she would live up to the recommendation. I was pleasantly surprised to see that Lily had exactly what we needed at that time. What Lily lacked in experience or education she more than made up for in her enthusiasm for the children and her incredible work ethic. Lily is a student of Early Childhood Education and happily takes in all of the information and modeling shown to her. She asks insightful questions and takes feedback with ease. She is able to utilize the feedback and quickly shows us that she has understood the information and is putting it into practice.

Lily is genuinely interested in each and every child that comes her way. She gets to know them very quickly and with her open heart she makes healthy attachments. Lily is a listener of the children and demonstrates curiosity when working with them. She supports our philosophy of ‘Open Ended” experiences for the children. I cannot begin to say how very grateful I am that Lily Pathwick has spent these last six months with us at Heidi’s House. The staff all enjoy working with her and the children adore her. Lily has worked in all of our classrooms from Infants through after school but spent most of her time with our toddlers. Everywhere we put Lily she did a fabulous job. Lily is trustworthy and dependable and will be an extraordinary asset to any child care center she joins. I have owned and managed Heidi’s House for 33 years and certainly have extensive experience hiring young workers. Lily tops my list of MVP’s and I just hope she will find a home in childcare that appreciates her as we have.

It is my honor to recommend Lily Pathwick-Paszyc as her former boss at Jibe Cycling Studio. Over the last year I have watched Lily come out of her shell and become one of the most dependable workers on our team.

When I first met Lily, I was immediately impressed with her maturity and self confidence – interviewing as an experienced adult would for our studio. She quickly became one of our go- to staff members and a trusted employee. Not only does she perform the tasks at hand – always with a smile – but she goes above and beyond, thinking about what could be best for the riders and the business as a whole.

As an employee, Lily is very easy to be around and always ready to help in any way, shape or form. She is self-motivated and proactively looks to complete tasks within the studio. When not at the studio, Lily is an ambassador for the Yellow Tulip Project (YTP), an organization committed to smashing the stigma surrounding mental illness. She works with YTP to build a community of people encouraging one another that hope happens when youth and their community leaders work together. Because of her work with the YTP, I know that she has helped change so many lives for the better – and that is just the type of person she is at the core.

I know that her self-motivated nature and ability to budget her time will serve her well in any future job, and am confident that given the opportunity she will be an excellent addition to Heidi’s House.
